Trancoso is a small town located in the extreme south of the Brazilian state of Bahia, about 47 km south of Porto Seguro.
It is located on the so-called Discovery Coast, a coastal region known for its natural beauty and its important role in the history of Brazil.
Trancoso sits on a hill overlooking a white sand beach, surrounded by dense tropical vegetation.
Access to Trancoso is through the Porto Seguro airport and from there you can take a bus, a taxi or a rented car to reach the town.
