The Protected areas of Brazil are organized in the "National System of Conservation" (SNUC), which was instituted in Brazil on July 18, 2000, through the adoption of Law No. 9985 and establishes the way of ordering the protected areas at the federal, state and municipal levels.
Brazil has declared 67 national parks, and some of them also have some other protection, such as:
- Park which is part of World Heritage of Unesco
- Park is part of a biosphere reserve
- Park is part of a Ramsar site.
