Teresina, the capital of the state of Piauí in Brazil, has an international airport, Teresina International Airport, which receives flights from Brazilian cities such as Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Fortaleza and Recife, as well as some international flights.
It is also possible to reach Teresina by bus from nearby cities such as Fortaleza and Recife, as well as from other Brazilian cities further afield.
The city also has a train station that connects with other cities in the Northeast region of Brazil.
