If you are flying from another city in Brazil or abroad, Recife/Guararapes International Airport is the main gateway to the city and is located about 12 km from the city center.
From the airport, you can take a taxi or a bus to get to the city center.
If you are traveling by road from other cities in Brazil, there are several highways that connect Recife with the main cities of the country. From São Paulo, for example, the distance is approximately 2,700 km and you can get there by car in about 35-40 hours.
There are also bus services from various cities in Brazil that arrive at the Recife Integrated Terminal, which is located in the center of the city.
And if you prefer to travel by train, there are train services from other cities in Pernambuco and northeastern Brazil that arrive at the Recife train station.
