Maraú is a municipality located on the southern coast of the state of Bahia, in Brazil.
It limits to the north with Camamu, to the south with Itacaré, to the east with the Atlantic Ocean and to the west with the municipality of
ibirapitanga. The city is located about 300 kilometers from Salvador, the state capital, and about 120 kilometers from Ilhéus, another major city in the region.
Maraú's privileged location gives it a large number of beaches with crystal clear waters and natural landscapes that make it a popular tourist destination in the region.
