Jericoacoara is located in the northeast of Brazil, in the state of Ceará, 300 km west of Fortaleza.
It is one of the most visited tourist beaches in Brazil, and popular all over the world.
Throughout the year, travelers can enjoy its rivers, lagoons and beaches.
Jijoca de Jericoacoara is a small fishing village, much visited by water sports athletes, such as windsurfing and kitesurfing. It is known as "the northeastern paradise" that preserves its natural beauty intact.
You can only get to this place by authorized vehicles that can walk through the streets of sand, and climb the great dunes.
Until about 20 years ago, it was still a fishing village isolated from the city, there were no roads, no electricity, no telephony. Nowadays it has a great tourist activity.
