Itacaré is located in the state of Bahia, in the northeast region of Brazil.
The most common way to get there is through the Ilhéus airport, which is about 70 kilometers away and has connections with some major cities in Brazil.
It can also be reached by bus from Salvador de Bahía, the state capital, which can take around 6 hours of travel.
Once in Ilhéus or at the Itacaré bus terminal, taxis and public transportation are available to get to the city center.
