Garopaba is located in the state of Santa Catarina.
During the summer months, it receives about 140,000 tourists who come to enjoy the beautiful beaches.
Among the main beaches are: Vigía, Ouvidor, Barra, Ferrugem, Siriú, Gamboa and Silveira.
All of these are surrounded by the Atlantic Forest, where you can watch right whales.
Garopaba is surrounded by large mountains, lagoons, rivers, forests and huge waterfalls.
It has the best beaches in the state, where surfing is practiced a lot, to such an extent that its beaches have become the venue for both national and international championships.
The name Garopaba originates from two words of the Guarani language: ygara (boat) and paba (cove).
