Arraial d'Ajuda is in the south of the State of Bahia, in the district of Porto Seguro and 700 kilometers south of Salvador, the capital of Bahia.
It has about 20 kilometers of beaches with their own characteristics, for all tastes.
In recent years, it has become a highly sought-after destination for tourists, although it retains its colonial-town atmosphere and untouched nature.
In the year 1550, the Jesuits arrived in Arraial d'Ajuda and built the Nossa Senhora d'Ajuda Church, one of the oldest churches in Brazil. In the city there are still many colonial houses that were restored and currently function as craft shops and restaurants.
In the 70s, hippies began to arrive looking for tranquility and nature.
