Aracaju is the capital of the state of Sergipe, located on the east coast of Brazil, in the northeast region of the country.
It is located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, bordering the state of Alagoas to the north, Bahia to the south, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the state of Sergipe to the west.
The city is located on a coastal plain surrounded by low hills and has beaches with warm waters and an extensive lagoon called Lagoa dos Patos.
