Tiradentes is a historic municipality in the state of Minas Gerais, in southeastern Brazil.
It is located about 190 km south of Belo Horizonte, the state capital, and about 480 km north of Rio de Janeiro.
Located in the Serra de São José, it is famous for its well-preserved historic center, full of 18th-century colonial buildings, and for its rich cultural and religious heritage.
In addition, it is surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes, including mountains, waterfalls, and trails for hiking and horseback riding.
