Saquarema is a coastal city in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil.
It is located about 100 km east of the city of Rio de Janeiro and 80 km south of Cabo Frio. It borders the Atlantic Ocean and has several popular beaches, including Itaúna and Praia da Vila.
It is also located near the Saquarema Lagoon and the Jacarepiá State Ecological Reserve, which makes it an ideal city for those who enjoy nature and outdoor activities.
