Paraty is a coastal city located in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, surrounded by mountains and beaches. Its well-preserved historic center is a mix of Portuguese and Brazilian colonial architecture.
Visitors can stroll through the cobblestone streets and admire the colorful colonial houses, as well as visit the Santa Rita Church, the Museum of Sacred Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Art.

To get to Paraty, you can take a bus from Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo or other nearby cities. It is also possible to arrive by car via the BR-101 highway, which connects Paraty with other coastal cities in the region.
The city is located on the Costa Verde of Brazil, in the south of the state of Rio de Janeiro, about 260 kilometers west of Rio de Janeiro and 310 kilometers east of São Paulo.
