Guarujá is a city in the state of São Paulo, on the Atlantic coast.
This island is a popular tourist destination due to its beautiful beaches, warm climate and its proximity to the city of São Paulo.
It is located on the coast of the state of São Paulo, about 87 kilometers east of the city of São Paulo. It limits to the north with Santos, to the south with Bertioga and to the east with the Atlantic Ocean.
Guarujá is known for its beautiful white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. Among the most popular are the beaches of Enseada, Pernambuco, Tombo, Asturias, Pitangueiras and Guaiúba.
The Guarujá Aquarium is one of the most popular attractions. It is located on Enseada beach and is the largest aquarium in the region, with more than 800 species of marine animals.
Animals that can be seen in the aquarium include fish, sharks, rays, sea turtles and penguins.
A series of interactive activities allows you to learn more about these animals. In addition to feeding the animals, underwater experiences with a scuba tank are offered.
Among other points of interest, there are also the Morro de Maluf Viewpoint, Una Park, Forte dos Andradas and the Cristo Redentor de Guarujá.
