Campos do Jordão is a Brazilian tourist city located in the Serra da Mantiqueira, in the state of São Paulo.
It was founded in the year 1874 and developed as a tuberculosis treatment center in the 1920s due to its cold and dry climate.
In the 1940s, it began to attract tourists from São Paulo's high society, and has since become a popular destination for those looking to escape the heat of nearby cities.
The city is also known for its European architecture, its natural landscapes, its gastronomy and its cultural festivals.
