Campinas is a city in the state of São Paulo.
It is located almost 100 kilometers north of São Paulo, its metropolitan area is made up of 20 municipalities, and it has an estimated population of 3.3 million inhabitants. It is one of the ten largest agglomerations in Brazil.
It is a large urban center that stands out for its quality of life.
The city is colloquially called the Princess of the West, and also known as the City of Swallows, since the city was on the route of these birds during the time of the coffee barons.
Campinas is made up of four districts, which are Joaquim Egídio, Sousas, Barão Geraldo and Nova Aparecida.
Campinas is currently responsible for a third of the state's industrial production.
