Cabo Frio is a Brazilian city located in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in the Lakes region.
It is located on a peninsula on the Atlantic coast, about 160 km from the state capital, Rio de Janeiro.
It limits to the north with Arraial do Cabo and to the south with Búzios. Known for its beaches with crystal clear waters and white sands, Cabo Frio is a popular tourist destination in Brazil.
The city also has a colonial historic center, a fishing port and a wide variety of restaurants and bars.
