To get to Porto Velho, the most common way is by plane. The Governador Jorge Teixeira de Oliveira International Airport, located about 7 km from the city center, receives direct flights from several Brazilian cities, such as Brasília, Cuiabá, Rio Branco, among others.
It is also possible to get there by road through the BR-319, although this road is in poor condition and is not recommended for all vehicles and drivers.
